Dr Wolf is associate professor at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland California. She has practiced as a community health nurse and adult nurse practitioner; and has served as a nurse educator for more than 25 years. Formerly Associate Director of the Program in Nursing at the MGH Institute in Boston, Dr. Wolf also served as nurse practitioner and director of health & wellness for the Cambridge Health Alliance Senior Health Center. She has lectured and published widely on professional issues and nursing history, aging and health policy. Her publications include The selected works of Jo Ann Ashley, A History of Nursing Ideas, by Jones & Bartlett Publishes; and the subsequent re-publication by Jones & Bartlett (2008) of her authored chapter and edited works in the book Advance Nursing Practice by Barker. She has been active in media projects from video to lay publication, including the film Community Voices on Cross Cultural Care and the popular book, Our Bodies. Our Selves. An advocate for professional-lay coalition forming, Dr. Wolf has been active in the Nurses for National Health Care. An ardent fan of shoe fly pie and apple butter, she enjoys spending time with family, watching the hummingbirds and feral cats in her yard, and traveling.
