By this, you will gain comfort with working in the health care setting. This is a chance to familiarize yourself with work habits and how to be good in communicating with patients.

  5. Be professional every day. Staying calm, graceful and focused even under pressure is a true professional. Do not let frustration affect you, be proactive instead. Practice this with your peers, professors, other therapy students and family so it becomes a part of you. Have a high standard by refusing yourself to gossip around. Do not neglect those chances to shine in a professional light.

  6. Gather excellect references. Ask your teachers if they can provide a reference for you. Not all of them can due to the school's policy.

  7. Make outstanding associates. Have your mind set as every health care professional you meet will be your next supervisor. Collect their business cards and invite them into your LinkedIn network.

  8. Few months before your graduation, start your job search. Do not wait until therapy school is over. By that time, you will be competing with more new graduates and the chances of getting a job immediately is more less. Stay connected with your network and therapy recruiters. Review your professional resume. Make sure that there is an impact about your personality and skills.

  9. Follow up with the employers every week. Remind yourself to keep a track of your progress and results. Don't rush in things. Be organized and create strategies.

  10. Inspire others. Once you have reached your goal, don't be shy in sharing your story with others. Thank those who have helped you along the way.
